Desert Tropics Custom Pools has been building pools and backyard get-aways in the valley since 2001. Every pool we have constructed was designed to meet our customer’s vision of relaxation, outdoor fun, recreation and functional longevity. Our founder, Doug Slater, has been in the pool industry for more than 30 years and he is the principle on all construction licenses held by Desert Tropics Custom Pools. Doug owned and operated a successful pool service and repair business in the 1990’s, then sold in 2001 to start-up Desert Tropics Custom Pools, to focus full time on pool construction.
In his service business Doug worked with many high-end pool owners and pool builders solving some of the most difficult issues regarding pool structures, plumbing, equipment and controls. To assure we deliver on our commitment of quality, Doug reviews every project before construction begins and then oversees each project thru to completion, ensuring that every pool we design and build will provide many years of trouble free enjoyment.
Our team of electrical, plumbing, steel, decking, masonry, shotcrete, project management and sales all combined have more than 100 years of experience in the pool construction industry. It is this combined knowledge and experience that allows our customers the ability to relax knowing their project will turn out exactly as they envision.
