12:00pm Find a Pearl
Discover the hidden treasures inside saltwater oysters and transform beautiful pearls into personalized pendants. Guests will choose an oyster and open it to reveal it’s unique pearl color then polish their pendant to perfection. Then, using a Sterling Silver wire guests can create a pendant design and solder the pearl onto their pendant design. Each guest will receive a sterling silver chain and take home a lasting pendant necklace. Ages 12+.
*KIDS* From 1:00pm – 2:00pm Magic Tricks for Kids
This is not just a workshop; it’s a magical experience! CJ, a real magician, is ready to share his secrets of the trade. Kids will learn a magic trick that’ll leave friends and family saying, “How did you do that?”. Each child who participates will walk away with their very own deck of cards—perfect for practicing those tricks on the go! To learn a bonus magic trick, kids can bring a coin! Ages 4-12. Adult Supervision Required.
1:15pm Copper Tooling
Transform a simple sheet of pure solid copper into a stunning piece of art. With countless design possibilities at your fingertips, you'll learn the mesmerizing techniques of metal tooling, also known as repousse or metal embossing. This hands-on experience allows you to explore the fascinating world of low-relief sculpture, where you'll skillfully manipulate the metal using specialized tools to raise and lower areas of your design. Once your masterpiece is complete, you'll apply a beautiful patina (to oxidize the copper) and frame it, ready to showcase in your home. Ages 12+.
2:30pm Floral Wooden Coasters
Turn simple wood rounds into stunning, personalized coasters! Guided by a local artist from Tumbleweed Flower, guests will use real pressed flowers and golden flakes to create a functional piece of art that adds a touch of nature to any home. Explore a vibrant selection of floral options and seal the masterpiece for an everlasting finish. Ages 12+.
